The Uprising is separated into 3 official, and 1 unofficial, factions. Factions act as conduits for the Uprising’s mission to preserve and fight for a better world no matter how dark the skyline becomes.
HAVEN – Keepers of People
Haven provides care, culture, and continuity.
- Color: ORANGE
- Medical care, mental health support, hormone access, trauma response
- Food distribution, housing networks, child and elder care
- Disability access, neurodivergent-affirming spaces, rest and recovery
- Art, ritual, music, storytelling, and shared culture
- Conflict healing and reintegration after harm
Haven believes survival is resistance. Rest is strategic. Joy is necessary. Haven ensures people have something worth surviving for.
BASTION – The Vanguard
Bastion is protection, movement, response.
- Color: GREEN
- Safety, security, and strike teams
- Physical infrastructure, fortification, and repair
- Transportation routes, supply movement, and access corridors
- Training in situational awareness and de-escalation, and when not possible, ending conflicts with as little casualty to life as possible
Bastion handles protection, logistics, evacuation, infrastructure, and physical safety. They plan so others don’t have to think about worst-case scenarios. They absorb risk so Haven can operate and Cypher can work quietly.
Bastion is the shield.
CYPHER – The Signal Beneath the Noise
Cypher controls information:
- Color: BLUE
- Secure communication and anonymization
- Surveillance disruption and obfuscation
- Record falsification, erasure, and reconstruction
- Archiving truth, preserving memory, documenting harm
- Counter-propaganda and cultural signal boosting
Cypher understands the battlefield is invisible. Cypher breaks Capital Corp’s models by making the system lie to itself.
IRIDIUM – The Reluctant Backbone
Iridium is not an official faction. It forms when leadership is unavoidable.
Iridium coordinates across factions, mediates conflict, allocates scarce resources, and carries the moral weight of impossible decisions.
Leadership is not gleeful authority. It is burden of necessity.
