WHAT IS CYBERTOPIA?
Cybertopia is a playable, immersive cyberpunk-dystopian-themed fundraiser Guests are not spectators. They are temporary citizens navigating a city controlled by Capital Corp while quietly involved in an uprising. This event features performers, DJs, missions, and interactive rooms throughout our space.
This is the first event like this that we’ve done, but only as a bunch of over-achieving theatre nerds can do.
The entire system is designed to be:
- Opt-in, choose your own adventure
- Neurodivergent-friendly
- Discoverable in layers
- An immersive experience that helps fund a real life resistance, Autonomy Project!

OUR MOST FUN EVENT OF THE YEAR TO VOLUNTEER AT
Yes, it’s about revolution, cyberpunk, and radical self-expression - but Cybertopia is also one of our largest fundraising events, and it takes a badass volunteer crew to bring it to life.
We need the following kinds/roles for Volunteers:
- General volunteer roles (check-in, floaters, merch, etc)
- Decorating, setup, and teardown help
- Story Actors (aka Narrative Operatives!)
Volunteers receive free admission to the event ($75 value) and other immersion goodies that have been created especially for the world, such as access cards, stickers, mission access, and more.
Plus you get to help pull off our most ambitious and unique event yet while raising funds for our 2026 programming, mutual aid fund, space, and more.

- Have some free time before the big day? We’ll be hosting Decor Building and Setup Days on 1/6, 1/14, and 1/21 (dress rehearsal/final setup).
- Have time after? We’ll also have signups for teardown and cleanup, as well as helping to recycle all the old tech that was donated.

Virtual Cybertopia Orientation (Zoom)
- Sunday January 18th, 7pm-8:30pm
- Mandatory for Story Actors, recommended for everyone else

In-Person Dates
All other days (except orientation!) are in person, listed on the site here.
- Decor and Setup Day 1, Wed Jan 6th 6pm-10pm
- Decor and Setup Day 2, Jan Wed 14th 6pm-10pm
- Dress Rehearsal and Narrative Operative Dry Run, Jan 21st 6pm-10pm
- Highly recommended for Story Actors and anyone who would prefer to see the space and the game mechanics ahead of time.
Cybertopia Time and Date:
Anticipated Hours: Saturday, Jan 24nd
Split into shifts, don’t worry, you don’t need to work the whole event! We know late nights aren’t for everybody and some people love ‘em.
- First Shift: 6pm - 10pm
- Second Shift: 10pm - 2am

Cybertopia isn’t just a party — it’s a powerful fundraiser in disguise.
This event helps to fund the next 6-12 months of programming, mutual aid, special projects, and so much more. As an org that does not exist on grants, these unique fundraisers help us raise funds, have fun, and create memories.
In a world controlled by Capital Corp, dance floors become gathering points, performances become signals, and shared play becomes proof that another way of being together is possible.
Cybertopia appears, does its work, and dissolves back into the shadows — leaving the Uprising stronger and better resourced for what comes next. That only happens because volunteers hold the city together.
When you volunteer, you’re stewarding a space where art, play, fundraising, and community care collide. Cybertopia is just one example of how we make that happen.

Step 1: Put in an Application

Step 2: Attend Volunteer Orientation
Once you’ve been approved, it’s time to get you onboarded. Head over to our Signup Portal to register for the next in-person orientation!
Step 3: Sign up for shifts!
Completed orientation? Awesome. It’s time for you to sign up for shifts. There’s lots of different opportunities at the Signup Portal.
