The volunteer application process is quick and easy. It just requires a simple application followed by a quick vetting process. We’ll use your answers to make sure you’re a good fit for us (and that you’re a safe person for our community.)
Step 1
Join the AP Community Discord and take note of your Username. You’ll need it for the application!
Step 2
Sign up for a free account on AutonomyProject.org. You don’t need to be a member, you just need an account. This is how we manage your hours, perks, and more.
Step 3
Fill out your volunteer application. Make sure you put in your Discord username for volunteer channel access.
First! Join the AP Discord
Once you’ve joined, you’ll need to copy/paste your username into the application you’ll fill out in the next step.
- Click your profile icon on the bottom left of your discord window
- Click the Copy icon next to your username (it will appear once you hover over it)
If you’re new to Discord, that’s ok! This is just the place where we coordinate, answer questions, and collaborate on ideas. You can also brush up on How to Use Discord
Then! Submit an application
- Fill out the Volunteer Application here.
- Tell us all kinds of fun things about you! We use these periodically when we’re creating new teams and are looking for special skills or interests.
- An automated confirmation email with next steps will be sent.
- Someone will manually vet your application and approve you. You will receive an email with your next step instructions, so be on the look out for it.
